Starting October 18 - WAITING FOR WONDER – Marlo Schalesky               7 weeks

It’s easy to believe in God when a promise is new and fresh, bubbling with life.  It’s hard when the years pass and nothing changes.  It’s hard to keep praying, keep hoping, keep believing.  It’s hard when those you love betray you, when desperation strikes, when your own plans backfire and still God does not fill the emptiness.  But what if this God of the waiting is calling us to more?

Starting November 18 - Too Busy Not To Pray by Bill Hybels                    5 Weeks

You can become a person of prayer.  You, just as you are today, with your upbringing, your knowledge, your value system, your quirks and foibles and fears, can be a person of prayer. You can be someone who talks to and listens to God.  You don’t have to go back to school or go on a diet.  You don’t have to get older or richer or wiser.  You don’t have to be better or stronger or anything other than who you are right now, today.  To be a person of prayer all you have to do is decide.  You can do it, we can do it, together.

Starting October 18 - JESUS IS ________. - JUDA SMITH                     7 Weeks

Jesus is greatly revered, harshly criticized, and sorely misunderstood.  In this study, we’ll address some of the most common and difficult questions about Jesus, a man so few understand and so many desperately need.  We’ll explore a number of topics that reveal Jesus’ purpose for coming, what He accomplished while He was here, and what that means for us.  This study is for believers; lifelong followers and for the merely curious.  Whether you think Jesus is life; Jesus is grace; Jesus is your friend or all of the above, at the end of this study, we’ll each have our own “fill in the blank” moment.
Leaders: Bill Mason and Susan Engle
Time: 6:00pm
Location: Room 104

Starting November 1 - NOT A SILENT NIGHT - Adam Hamilton           6 Weeks

Imagine Jesus from Mary’s point of view-proud of her son, in awe of his gifts and mission, guided by love for him as a person and so much more.  In this study, Adam Hamilton begins at the end, with Mary at the Crucifixion and Resurrection; travels back in time as she witnesses Jesus’ life and ministry and ends at the beginning, with the Christ Child born in a stable, Mary’s beautiful baby.  This year, experience Advent and Christmas with Mary.
