Christmas Eve Candlelight in the Courtyard!
This Christmas Eve, Ocala West United Methodist Church will be celebrating the birth of Christ with three Christmas Eve Candlelight in the Courtyard services.
Service Times: 4:00 PM, 5:30 PM, and 7:00 PM

Christmas Eve Candlelight Covenant

Reservations RequiredWe ask that you make reservations to attend a Christmas Eve Candlelight service. Reservations are important for several reasons, including:
1) Capacity: As noted below, the seating for each party is spaced for social distancing. This means only a certain number of individuals can attend each Christmas Eve service. Your reservation ensures you have a seat at the service of your choice. 2) Safety: In the event the church office is informed that a participant in the Christmas Eve service you attended is diagnosed with Covid-19, we will contact you with the contact information you provide. |
Chairs ProvidedChairs will be set up, based on the number of persons in your party, which will be noted when making your reservation.
1) Spacing: Each party will be spaced 8 feet from each other. Each row is 8 feet apart and parties within a row will be separated by 8 feet. 2) Chairs provided will be sanitized between services to ensure the chair you are sitting on is ready for you. 3) I prefer to bring my own chair. The chairs provided do not have armrests. If you prefer to bring your own chair, please note this in your reservation. |

No Congregational SingingPlease refrain from singing. Singing produces tiny droplets, called aerosols, that are less than 10 microns and easily slip through consumer face masks. For everyone's safety, we ask that you refrain from singing while on the property of Ocala West UMC.

Masks RequiredPlease wear a mask from the time you leave your vehicle until you return to your vehicle. Masks protect us from the droplets that naturally occur when someone is speaking. Typically, when droplets are released, they usually fall to the ground within 6 feet due to gravity.

Social DistancingPlease remain 6 feet away from those who are not in your reservation “party.” Please do not congregate on church property before or after service. Please do not approach or touch other people or their belongings.

Hand SanitizerPlease use hand sanitizer. Hand sanitizer stations are available for your use prior to entering the Courtyard. Some transmission of the virus which causes Covid-19 is through touch, so washing hands and using hand sanitizer is important for everyone's safety.

Inclement WeatherWhen one of the Christmas Eve services is unavailable due to inclement weather, Holy Communion elements with Christmas Eve Liturgy will be available for pick up for drive thru under the portico (in front of the sanctuary entrance). When this occurs, please join us for our Christmas Eve Candlelight service online, available at 4:00p.m.
