Opportunities in Music Ministry
Being part of the music ministry is a wonderful way to use the gifts God has given you. You will not only enjoy the music ministry but will meet wonderful people who love the Lord and enjoy music. The following are some of the opportunities:
Chapel Vocal Choir – Sing at the 8:00 traditional service – rehearsals are Friday at 10:00 a.m. An evening rehearsal is available on Thursdays at 7:30 p.m.
Chancel Vocal Choir – Sing at the 11:00 traditional service – rehearsals are Fridays at 2:00 p. m. An evening rehearsal is available on Thursdays at 7:30 p. m.
Chapel Bells Ringers – Ring at the 8:00 traditional service – rehearsals are Thursday at 10:00 a. m.
Chancel Bells Ringers – Ring at the traditional service – rehearsals are Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
Would you like to learn to play the bells?
Our Sanctuary Bells Ringers (Training Bells) – rehearsals are Thursday at 9:00 a.m.
Our Training Bells rehearse on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. Opportunities are also available in our Harmonica Ensembles and for special music on many occasions. We present Easter and Christmas musical cantatas/programs and also invite guest artists/groups to Ocala West UMC to celebrate our Christian joy through a concert series open to the community.
Special Music – From time to time there are opportunities for solos, duets, and ensembles.
Various Ensembles (Adults) – There is no regular rehearsal time. Rehearsals are only when needed for special music.
