During this season of coronavirus, we will be making some changes in our worship services and church activities to help keep one another healthy.
These changes include removing hand-shaking and hand-holding from our services and activities during this particular season.
If someone approaches you to hug or shake hands, simply fold your hands in front of you and smile. This will be our "reminder cue" to one another that we are, for a season, decreasing physical contact to keep one another healthy. Remember, "praying hands are healthy hands!"
When considering these changes, please remember we have high risk, vulnerable members, attendees and visitors of all ages. Let's partner together to make our times of worship and gathering in community - vibrant, joyful and safer for all.
Other changes to the worship service include:
Connect Cards Rather than passing a Friendship Pad up and down the aisle, each Bulletin will include a Connect Card. With this change, you can now sign up for events on your Connect Card rather than, for example, needing to remember to turn in three different inserts.
Offering Plates Instead of each person in a section holding and passing the offering plate, the offering will now be received at the end of the service. As your last act of worship, simply drop your Connect Card and Offering in the offering plate (held by an usher) as you exit the Sanctuary.
Please consider spreading out in the sanctuary - and using our entire worship space.
Please maintain vigilant use of hand sanitizer and / or vigorous washing with soap in the bathroom sinks.
Please be mindful of your use, handling and disposal of kleenexes and handkerchiefs and wash hands after each use.
Please remember that if you are having symptoms of cold, flue or allergies, please stay at home. You may listen to sermons online at www.OcalaWestUMC.com. We will miss you and look forward to you being back in worship with us when you are well.
Please continue to pray for one another, our church and our community. Continue to focus on Lent and the practices of praying, Bible study, serving, giving, worshipping, sharing and fasting.
