Co-Lead PastorsPastors Jen and Michael both share a deep passion for helping people move one step closer to the heart of God! They love to open God’s Word in times of worship, devotion, and study so that all who participate may discover a place where their stories connect with God’s story. Through biblical teaching, storytelling, and practical, relevant teachings, they bring joyful and hopeful spirits to our church and community.
Pastor Jen earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Florida Southern College where she gained certifications in primary, elementary, and special education. After teaching in elementary school and serving as a lay staff member of local United Methodist Churches, Jen answered God’s call on her life to the ordained ministry. She gained her Masters of Divinity Degree from Duke University. Jen has served as the Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Pahokee and as the Associate Pastor of the United Methodist Church of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach. |
Pastor Michael earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Central Florida. Following graduation, Michael worked in finance and business. After being actively involved in lay ministry and leadership in a local United Methodist Church, Michael answered God’s call on his life to ordained ministry. He received a Masters of Divinity Degree from Duke University. Michael served as the Senior Pastor of both Tice United Methodist Church in Fort Myers and Trinity United Methodist Church in Jensen Beach.
Jen and Michael met on their very first day at Duke Divinity School and soon became study partners and best friends. They survived studying biblical Greek together and in time, discovered that God had called them together to share both in life and ministry. They have one son, Luke, who brings his own testimony of God's love, healing and grace to the life and ministry of the church.
